
The Andromeda Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy.

The first description of the galaxy was made in 964. Abd al-Rahman al-Sufi.
​
Its distance from Earth is estimated at approximately 2.5 million light years.
​
It is best observed in autumn, when it is highest in the sky.
​
It can be observed as a hazy spot with the naked eye, to see its satellite galaxies you need to use a telescope, to see the dark stripes you need to use a telescope.

The Andromeda Galaxy is 220,000 light-years in diameter.
​
Interesting fact: The Andromeda Galaxy has as many as 32 satellite galaxies, two of which can be seen in the photo, M32 is at the top of the Andromeda Galaxy, and M 110 below it, the Andromeda Galaxy will collide with the Milky Way in about 4-5 billion years.
