The Heart Nebula is a hydrogen-rich emission nebula.
Discovered by William Herschel in 1787.
the distance from Earth is 7,500 light years
It can be observed in autumn and winter. when in the northern sky.
For observation, medium-sized binoculars with a hydrogen or UHC filter screwed in are enough.
The size of this nebula is 375 light years.
